Branson, Mo. – (September 28th, 2008) On the opening night of the Branson Gospel Singer Songwriter Associations three day annual event for artists and songwriters,  the BGSSA and CMG  announced a special preferred partner  agreement between Dove award winning writers/publishers D.K. & Sherrie Brewster  of  Yet To Come Publishing and  Charles & Rosie Brady of Caraway Media Group.

D.K. Brewster of Yet to Come Publishing stated “CMG’s move into distributing digital downloads to radio stations has been one of the most innovative ideas I have seen.  At a time when due to economic realities most are having to cut back on the number of radio stations being serviced,  Radioactive Airplay is rapidly expanding the reach of the music of our writers and artists in our association in ways we never thought possible. “

Sherrie Brewster of Yet to Come Publishing commented;  “It is exciting to see how God is using Charles & Radioactive Airplay to get the music to the stations so they can share these powerful messages in song with their listeners. This is a wonderful opportunity for our writers and the artists that we work with.”

Charles Brady of CMG & Radioactive Airplay stated that he first became acquainted with DK and Sherrie Brewster through the Emergent Gospel Songfest. In going through hundreds of songs you begin to learn quickly who the Lord has His hand on when it comes to those folks who know and can recognize great music.  D.K. & Sherrie have written, co-written and published songs that have won countless major awards including the GMA’s coveted Dove Award and the Song of the Decade Award for “Praise His Name” which was recorded by Jeff and Sheri Easter.  Charles noted; “The thing that really attracted me to this talented couple was the passion and devotion they have to working and assisting other writers and artists. That’s exactly the goal we have for our company.  The goals we have are to educate, train, and equip those people who God has gifted with the ability to write and/or sing the message of the Gospel in song. When I find others that have those common goals and aspirations to see ministry expanded I want to work with those folks. DK & Sherrie Brewster have demonstrated a real love and passion for the songs and those who write and sing them.  I’m honored to be here in Branson, Mo with them this week  and with the BGSSA and I’m looking forward to working closely with them in developing this special new membership level for the BGSSA that has my full support behind it.”

The new agreement expands the offerings of Yet to Come Publishing and the BGSSA to include a brand new membership level that offers special pricing for RAA services along with special member opportunities to interact with industry leaders who share a likeminded passion for seeing music that lifts up Jesus Christ made available to every radio station.  CMG & Yet To Come Publishing along with the Branson Gospel Singer Songwriter Association will be working on special training events & seminars tailored specifically for this new Preferred Partner Membership level.  The events of this weekend are just a taste of what is “Yet To Come!”

The Branson Gospel Singer Songwriter Association is open for all artists and writers who are looking for an organization that offers regular opportunities for learning about songwriting and expanding the outreach and improving the quality of songs so that they meet the guidelines and quality standards for “broadcast ready” music that can then be offered for radio airplay.  To learn more about the opportunities and activities of the BGSSA or to sign up for membership in the organization you can visit www.yettocomeproductions.com

Integrity Music Announces Signing of Worship Artist Freddy Rodriguez; Light In The Darkness to Release February ‘09

MOBILE, Ala. (October 27, 2008) - This time, what happens in Vegas, will not stay in Vegas.  Integrity Music has signed worship artist and songwriter Freddy Rodriguez for the worldwide release of his debut CD, Light in the Darkness, due in stores February 10, 2009.

Rodriguez recorded Light in the Darkness at the Champions Center, a non-denominational church in the heart of Las Vegas.  Rodriguez, much like his friend and label mate Israel Houghton, believes in creating music that blends styles and reflects the diversity of the Church and the community in which he ministers.

“The worship community is looking for something new… there’s a need for more cross-cultural worship out there,” Rodriguez said.

Recorded live before a packed house and produced by Rodriguez himself, Light in the Darkness is destined to become a church classic that’s brimming with congregational value and a cross-cultural vibe for universal appeal.  Gospel, Latin and pop influences converge to create a heavenly sound, one that transcends ethnicities and encourages worshippers to be united in praise.

“Champions is a great diversity of people,” says Rodriguez. “They’re probably 25 percent Hispanic, 25 percent black, 25 percent white and 25 percent Asian. So, you hear a lot of styles, which is great by me because that’s where I’m at personally… I love that we have the ability to worship together – red, yellow, black and white.”

Rodriguez has been involved in worship music for the past 11 years and served for the past three years at Champions.  But, his path to music and ministry was rocky.

A native of Chicago, Rodriguez was born into a poor Puerto Rican household where his parents divorced when he was just three-years-old.  Moving to Texas as a young, troubled teen, Rodriquez was a convicted felon before he was old enough to drive.  Providentially, a desire to reconnect with his father back in Illinois and an internship at a recording studio opened the door for him to find Christ and sow the seeds of a promising career in music, which eventually brought him to the attention of Integrity Music.

“As a worship leader, my desire is for people to connect with God,” Rodriguez says. “I’ve already made up my mind that I’m going to pursue Him with my whole heart. Nobody convinced me about it… It’s my reasonable act of service. When we find ourselves in the secret place of the Most High God, we should be able to hear his voice.”

MARY MARY HEARING THE SOUND OF PRAISE FOR NEW CD

MOBILE, Alabama (October 23, 2008) – It sounds like a success for Mary Mary’s new CD The Sound which has opened to terrific reviews from both Christian and mainstream press.  The Integrity/Columbia release is also in the Top 10 on iTunes album sales.

People Magazine was the first to laud the new release with a 3 ½ star review, saying: “Their praise-worthy new CD finds this sisterly duo continuing to expand the sonic horizons of contemporary gospel with songs like “Get Up,” the “Off the Wall”-inspired first single, which has cracked both the R&B and dance charts.”

Christianity Today’s online music site also gave the disc a first-class review: “The Sound finds the Campbell’s (Mary Mary sisters Tina and Erica) continuing to set the bar ridiculously high…. The Sound is the most progressive urban disc to come out of Christian and gospel music in 2008, and possibly even mainstream music….The Sound is an undisputed triumph….The Sound amplifies their potential for reaching beyond stylistic boundaries, deepening the creative well from which they draw, and setting a new standard of excellence in urban and gospel music.”

Adding their praise, Soultracks.com said, “Wonderful singers and perhaps even better songwriters, they, along with the unofficial third member of the group, Warryn Campbell (Erica’s husband), have performed a marvelous balancing act, acknowledging the developments of modern music while keeping consistent themes of praise and self-surrender in their music…So what’s surprising about their newest disc, The Sound, is how Mary Mary can sound so new — and maybe even better — five records into their career.”

With able assistance from longtime producer and collaborator Warryn Campbell, Erica Campbell and Tina Campbell, the real life sisters better known as Mary Mary, weave their love of truth-grounded Gospel music into a tuneful blend of R&B, pop, soul, jazz, electronic music and more.  (Erica’s husband, Warryn Campbell also helmed the first two Mary Mary albums, the RIAA gold- and platinum-certified Thankful and the RIAA gold-certified Incredible.)

The Sound premieres 11 new Mary Mary songs including the album’s recently released lead single, “Get Up,” a pop-infused anthem of praise and empowerment, which is starting to get strong airplay at CHR radio.    Other tracks on The Sound include the R&B-flavored title track “The Sound,” “Superfriend,” “God In Me,” “Boom,” “I’m Running,” “Forgiven Me,” “Dirt,” “Seattle,” “I Worship You” and “It Will All Be Worth It.”
